The driving principle of Global Leadership Training is this simple truth: "Leadership will destroy the man or woman whose character has not been prepared for it." With promotion and enlargement comes greater pressure, harsher attacks and relentless temptation. If the leader's foundation of character is not deep enough, the promotion he receives will ultimately bring his downfall.
Many in leadership today are remarkably talented. But if not careful, their leadership gifting will promote them beyond what their character can support. Too often the leaders' integrity does not keep pace with the momentum created by their giftedness and their lives become top heavy with success. Financial abundance, fame, popularity and pride, attention from the opposite sex coupled with a lack of accountability bring pressure upon a faulty foundation that is unable to withstand the seditious nature of success. Tragically, the result is often told in the headlines from every arena of leadership. Men and woman in church, corporate, civic and political offices, entrusted with a leadership mantle, fall prey to the peril of building without a firm foundation. Since 2001, Global Leadership Training has been emphasizing need for character in leadership. Rather than focusing on hype and emotionalism, or pushing people toward some super-spiritual encounter, our conferences present practical topics to build character, deepen integrity, promote systems of accountability, and develop effective leadership qualities. We believe that these are the essential ingredients that enhance a leader's credibility and provide a firm foundation for enlargement. Founder and President of Global Leadership Training, Rev. Gregg T. Johnson serves as the keynote speaker for the GLT Training Events. He is often joined by executive leaders from church, civic and corporate institutions to challenge and enrich leaders from every level of leadership. Previous conferences have been attended and endorsed by the President and Vice President of Ghana, the Chief Justice of Ghana's Supreme Court, the Mayor of Kigali, Rwanda and Director of Kampala, Uganda. As well, corporate executives, denominational superintendents and high level political leaders have become alumni of Global Leadership Training.
